Modern Electrophysiology produces a compact device that performs both single sensillum recordings (SSR) and combined gas chromatograph - electroantennogram (GC-EAD) recordings. The Miniprobe is housed in a case with maximum dimensions of approximately 4 x 3.5 x 1.9 cm (1.55 x 1.38 x 0.75 in.). When connected to a PC, it is designed to incorporate functionality that is typically performed by several different devices. Acquired data may be routed the sound card for aural monitoring of action potentials, and power-line frequencies may optionally be removed digitally.
