COTMAP: An end-of-season plant mapping tool to document insect feeding damage in cotton

The COTMAP plant mapping system for cotton was created in the 1980s by agronomists Fred Bourland and Clarence Watson. It provides a systematic method for final, end of season plant mapping for cotton. The original computer program developed for data analysis is obsolete. The tool has been modernized with new analysis procedures and updated instructional guide. It is a helpful tool to document damage (or lack of damage) from cotton insect pests or other environmental or biological stresses. The poster will provide a history of the tool, examples of its utility in IPM research, and information on how to access training materials.
