Macroscopic Solutions, LLC
509
Our innovation is called the Macropod technology and it uses the image generation technique of focus stacking to produce 2D imagery and 3D models that are completely in focus, color accurate and high resolution. There is another technology akin to focus stacking called plenoptics which uses an optical array to refocus light in front of a cameras’ sensor. This is a low-resolution and low-light technique that we are not currently exploring. Instead, we are part of a large, but relatively small group of hobbyists, researchers and professionals who use focus stacking software and hardware solutions designed to capture images of microscopic and macroscopic sized objects without having limitations in depth-of-field, color and resolution.

However, if we want to transform these drafts into scientific illustrations, not only visually attractive, but also showing the story behind them, we will face a challenging task. At darwid_illustration we understand the mean of these sketches, which our duty is to taking them off the paper and turning them into high-quality scientific and artistic illustrations, with the aim of communicate their main ideas. If you are preparing a scientific article, a grant, a thesis, a book or even a thematical website, we can help communicating all your ideas with the personalized aesthetic that your content demands.

Rad Source Technologies, Inc.
608
Is Non-GMO Sterile Insect Technique (SIT) right for you? Pests are harmful to both the agricultural industry and human health. Rapid reproduction and population growth of these pests result in agricultural losses in crops and livestock, economic damage, and the uncontrolled spread of harmful diseases called vector-borne diseases, which are carried by certain blood-feeding organisms such as mosquitoes and transmitted to humans through their bites. One method that is used to eliminate pests is called the sterile insect technique (SIT). SIT uses radiation to mass-sterilize male pests in a population, and these males are unable to produce offspring when mating with females. SIT has been successfully used to control invasive insect pests since the 1940’s. Rad Source creates and manufactures cost-efficient and safe x-ray irradiation instruments specifically designed for SIT, reducing the burden of pests and vector-borne diseases throughout the world.
