D3307: Patterns of forest pollinator diversity across the southeastern United States: A survey of the experimental forest network

Although the importance of forests to pollinator conservation is widely recognized, few efforts have been made to investigate how forest pollinator diversity varies among physiographic regions and forest types. In this study, pollinators were sampled in all 19 experimental forests overseen by the US Forest Service in the southeastern Unites States. Preliminary results for bees, butterflies and hover flies (Syrphidae) will be presented.
