Predation of slugs by carabids and their identification

We are evaluating the predation of all developmental stages of slugs by carabid beetles in soybeans in Kentucky. We captured beetles in soybean fields and conducted bioassays in the laboratory and found that some species of carabids preyed on all developmental stages of slugs. Also, we are going to provide information on the identification of these carabid beetles.
